![]() ![]() When the PT was struggling to get to Okumura's Palace, he got in, claiming "Don't underestimate me", while it was Haru as Kunikazu's daughter who opened that damn door. Her screentime, her moments, even her effort. This is a bit personal because she's my favourite member of the PT. Morgana, on the other hand, acted as if the PT needed him to function, while at that point in the story (The Okumura Arc), it was shown that it's him that needed the PT and not the other way around. Sure, maybe some members weren't as crucial as the others, like Ryuji is Ryuji, Ann was mostly a pretty face of the group, or Haru might as well not existed due to her screentime (More on that later), but none of them acted as if they are the single best, they accepted that they were merely just extra manpower. In term of navigation, I think Ryuji had made it very clear that Futaba was miles ahead. In term of radical and deductive thinking, it's either Makoto or Akechi, depending on whether you count Akechi or not. In term of combat prowess, Joker is undisputedly the best, that's why he's called Joker. ![]() He's very arrogant, to the point of thinking that he's above the rest of the PT (He's not). And the reason why he wanted to rush the decision ? Because he was selfish, wanting to get attention and trying to prove himself. Makoto and Yusuke (And it later turned out that the rash decision costed them the reputation and allowed Shido to put the blame on PT). He's one of the original founder of the PT, and by extension, the idea of unanimous decision, yet in the Okumura Arc, he scolded the PT for not agreeing with him, despite them having a VERY good reason for that, as it was pointed out by the most capable and intelligent members of the team, i.e. Ryuji had been very tolerant of his attitude, but the one time Ryuji fought back, Morgana threw a tantrum and then leave, THEN THE PT PUT THE ENTIRE BLAME ON RYUJI, like, wth guys ? I really wanted the game to give me the choice to sleep away and forget that cat ever existed in that scene. Even Ryuji pointed out that whenever Morgana get confronted about such things, he would just call Ryuji idiotic and then dodge the question. He's extremely mean to Ryuji, calling Ryuji an idiot for not understanding things that he couldn't bother to explain, and is later revealed that he himself didn't fully understand to explain. The "He makes you go to bed" is just an icing on the cake, and nothing more than a meme. ![]() I only added them here because it was relevant lol After all, his persona is the only one that has garu out of all of the confidants, and his healing abilities are pretty astounding, so I just let most of my gripes slide. It likely would've been better had he been a confidant you bonded with outside of the main story, where your level with him might affect the ending - kinda like Akechi in Royal, where your confidant level plays a part in determining whether or not you get to play the third semester. It wasn't until the end of the game that we realized why he's supposed to be important to the plot, and it was only because ~magic~.īasically, he's just a pile of tropes wrapped up in a bag of arrogance, mediocrity, and very rushed character development compared to some other characters. His identity crisis in the face of being called "useless" was never really resolved iirc, the game was basically like "you thought he wasn't an important asset to the Phantom Thieves but HE IS! Why? Because friendship!" I mean, nothing wrong with writing a character to settle into a non-leadership role, it just really wasn't paced very well at all - not even in Royal. I mean, I know what they were going for, but besides being a talking cat/car and being the only other character who uses garu, he really doesn't have anything that other characters don't do better. ![]()
